Santa Found Team Sebo in Albir! Phew

Harley was very relieved to find that Santa had managed to leave our presents under Sebo’s Christmas Tree whilst we were sleeping last night……so much for having a “guard dog” onboard! :-). Our “silly, low budget pressies only ” idea worked a treat and we had a few laughs as the contents of the hastily wrapped packages were revealed.

We breakfasted on smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, all washed down with a bottle of Lanson – a wedding present which, incredibly, we had managed to keep until Christmas Day!! With our appetites and thirsts sated, it was time for a Christmas Day stroll along the beach – there were a few people out doing the same thing but we threw caution to the wind, flouted the local “No Perros” bye law and took Harley on for a Christmas Day run – it made his day!

Team Sebo’s Christmas Dinner consisted of a delicious Gambas salad served with a very nice bottle of ArtCava cava, followed by two huge steaks-barbecued to perfection by The BBQ King- asparagus, baked potato and Bearnaise sauce , a very expensive bottle of Rioja (€3.55 for a Faustino VII IS expensive when you’re accustomed to 62c for a litre “brick”!) and finished off with a Rum’n’Raisin Creme Brulee.

It all felt quite strange being away from family and friends but, thankfully, modern technology in the form of Facetime video calls does seem to shorten the distance and we spent a lot of time today talking to folk and having a good laugh with them all.

Naturally, we all ate and drank far too much and finally collapsed into bed vowing to “cut back on the food and drink in The New Year”…….hmmmmm, it SOUNDS good….;-)
